Aimé Leon Dore

In 2017 Rosa Capó opened her first firm under the name of Capó Lighting Design. In 2018 CLD had the incredible opportunity to illuminate the first flagship store of Aimé Leon Dore, founded by Teddy Santis. Known for its luxury streetwear, the brand captures the nostalgic New York aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the vibrant hip-hop culture and traditional menswear of the 90s and 2000s.

Teddy's vision for the store was to create a flexible lighting design system that would allow for easy rearrangement of furniture to accommodate special events and showcase design collections. CLD's concept involved multiple layers of lighting, including recessed track lighting with exposed architectural LED heads, recessed pinhole accent lights, and integrated cove lighting in the clothing rack niches. When the store opened in January 2019, it quickly gained popularity, one of the coolest spots in Nolita, even earning a feature in Vogue.
